29 November 2008Gmail - No Autosave in Canvas Mode
I may be stating the obvious to some but for those who don’t know, I may just save you from frustration. I have become so accustomed to “canvas mode” in igoogle I have actually started composing my Gmail in it. Big mistake! After spending quite some time on a well thought out email my page refreshes. All gone. Autosave is a feature that is not active when composing your Gmail in canvas mode. Be forewarned. I can’t tell you how often I have fallen into this trap. I think I will now use one of those shortcut thingys to a open up Gmail in it’s own window.
